I knew this was going to take some getting used to as you can see by a week gap in posting since I signed up but I will try to get better. I just have to figure out what I want to post here. How much of my life I want to share, which might be therapeutic since I am a bit stressed lately, what might be interesting enough for others to read, etc...
The reason I am posting around 3:30 on Saturday morning is not because I just got back from partying :) but because Simon, one of my cats, woke us up about an hour and a half ago chasing something in our bedroom. I got up, turned on the lights and checked around the area where he was looking but didn't see anything. When I am awakened like that it is usually tough for me to go back to sleep but I tried. A few minutes later I heard him again so I got up, didn't turn on the over head light but just used a flashlight, checked some more and when I moved the night stand, I felt something kind of large touch the back of my hand. I turned on the main light and I see Simon going after a roach. I grabbed a shoe out of the closet but he had already made a late night snack out of it by the time I got back. YUCK!!! I have not seen a roach in the house in a very long time so that was kind of a surprise as we have the occasional spider and that is about it.
Here are a few of our cats, from left to right, Chester, Azure, who we had to put to sleep last year at the ripe old age of 17, and then there is Simon, my little late night wake up call.
